Quimby Felon Arrest

Quimby, IA (KICD) — A Quimby man is arrested following a short standoff.

On Sunday afternoon, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office went to 1391 580th Street in Quimby. They arrested 33-year old Jesse James Dale Rhea, after taking him in custody by force, as Rhea was using a rifle in a short standoff with authorities.

The rifle was also seized. Rhea was charged with Felon In Possession of a Firearm, a class D felony. He’s also facing a parole revocation, as a result of the incidient. He’s being held in the Cherokee County Jail without bond.
