IA (KICD) — The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association has released its list of artists who have been inducted into the 2019 Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame.
The 2019 Inductees include Litterer (Band-NE IA), Denny Storey (Matousek Lifetime Achievement-NW IA), Evolution of Sound (Band–West River), Bill Riley (Support Person-Central IA), Ravons (Band-NE IA), Dan Sullivan (Individual Artist-SW IA), Shymen (Band-NW IA), Johnnie Walker (Individual Artist-NE IA), Temtations (Band-SE IA), Rubber Bande (Band-West River), Susie Schaaf (Women Who Rock-SW IA), Randy Chesterman (DJ-NE IA), Merle Pitham (Lifetime Achievement-West River), Willis David Hoover (Lifetime Achievement-SW IA), Jon Stafford (Individual Artist-Central IA), Livermore Ballroom (Ballroom-NW IA), Mark Williams (Individual Artist-SE IA), The Pena Brothers Band (Band-SE IA), Steve Samuelson (Individual Artist-NW IA), Rebecca Thoreson (Individual Artist-NW IA), Lidgett Music (Music Store-SW IA), Nick Knedler (Individual Artist-SE IA), Flipside (Band-Central IA), Maurice Walker-Jules (Lifetime Achievement-NW IA), Jill Miller (Women Who Rock-West River), Akasha (Band-SE IA), Ray Pohlman (Individual Artist-NW IA), The Jacks (Border Band), John Sullivan (Support Person-NW IA), and The Buckinghams (Out of State Band).
Scott and Diane Benjamin and Little Swan Lake Winery will also be recognized with a 2019 Spirit Award.
Since incorporation over 400 entities have had the honor of being inducted. Inductees must have a minimum of 25 years experience in the industry and have made a significant impact on Iowa’s Rock ‘n Roll music scene.
