AMPI Upgrades Cheese Plant In Sanborn

Sanborn, IA (KICD) — Associated Milk Producers Incorporated or AMPI has expanded it’s plant in Sanborn, Iowa.

The expansion includes 8 new vats in the facility which will make it easier for the employees to produce more cheese including Monterey Jack, Marble Jack and Colby.

Also included in the expansion is increased automation to boost which is expected to boost plant efficiency

When upgrades to the plant’s whey processing and storage are completed in March the plants processing capacity will more than double and daily cheese production will come in at around 300,000 pounds.
