Armstrong, IA (KICD)– We are one day away from the residents of Armstrong going to the polls to elect a new mayor just months after the city was shaken up by an alleged embezzlement scandal that involved several several current and former officials.
Travis Schueller is the shared Superintendent for North Union and North Kossuth School Districts and is the only official name on tomorrow’s ballot. He tells KICD News he may be fairly new to the community, but he is committed to rebuilding the city from a financial standpoint using his skills from the educational world.
Schueller says if he is elected, he already has a growing list of projects to focus on moving forward.
Residents of Armstrong have until the end of business TODAY to cast an early ballot in person, otherwise the polls will be open at the Armstrong Community Center tomorrow from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
