Spirit Lake, IA (KICD) — Brad Price, a Spirit Lake resident met with family and employees this morning to announce that he is running for Iowa State Senate District 1 as a Republican.
Price has lived in Spencer and the Lakes area for around 45 years.
His daughter Mindy is the owner of Creative Cakes by Mindy, and his son Michael is the owner of Godfather’s Pizza in Estherville.
Price is 59-years-old and has been in business for over 40 years in Northwest Iowa, with his businesses having employed hundreds of people.
According to Price’s Statement he is running on “Keeping Iowa strong with a common sense approach to government” which includes striving to keep the Iowa education system as one of the best in the nation, working on water quality issues and fighting to keep taxes low while maintaining a balanced state budget.
