Clay County, IA (KICD) — The unofficial election results are in for the races in Clay County.
In Spencer, the City Council at Large Seat has been won by Loren Reit with 724 or 36.20% of the votes out of 1,138. His opponent Rich Prentice brought home 412 votes, and there were two write-ins.
For the Ward 4 seat, Donavon Wunschel has won with 245 or 53.38% of the votes. Duane Bates took home 214 or 46.62%. There were no write-ins.
For the Ward 3 seat, Tracy Larsen won with 131 votes or 50.38% of the total. His opponent Reynold Peterson brought home 126 votes or 48.46% of the vote. There were three write-ins.
Spencer Mayor Incumbent Kevin Robinson, who ran unopposed remains as Mayor with 1,055 votes or 97.32% of the total vote. There were 29 write in’s.
Spencer Councilman Bill Orrison, who also ran unopposed, took home 106 votes or 95.50% of the vote. There were five write-ins.
For Spencer School Director-At-Large Brea Schmidt and Jeremy Parsons have been elected to the positions with Brea Schmidt taking home 976 votes or 50.62% of the vote and Jeremy Parsons getting 943 votes or 48.91% of the votes. There were nine write-ins.
The City of Webb race for the At-Large position has Melissa Loontjer taking the win with 16 votes or 61.54% of the votes while their opponent Matthew Anderson took home ten votes or 38.46% of the vote.
In Greenville the five candidates for the City Council at large are Vincent Trierweiler with 20 votes or 19.23% of the vote, Kayla Koch with 15 votes or 14.42% of the vote, Danny Knutson with 13 votes or 12.50%, Nicole Lange with 20 votes or 19.23% of the vote and Donna Koch with 12 votes or 11.54% of the vote.
The City of Everly Public Measure EQ had 69 yes votes or 81.18% of the votes and 16 no votes or 18.82% of the votes out of 85 votes.
For Clay Central-Everly Director District 1, Allyn Heikens took home 177 votes or 76.62% of the vote. Their opponent Lori Adrian had 54 votes or 23.38% of the vote.
The Graettinger-Terril School Public Measure GT voters in Clay County had 15 votes in total with 12 voting no or 80% of the vote and three voting yes or 20% of the vote.
