Dickinson County Supervisors Review Plans for Veterans Memorial Update

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors got to see some concept plans for updates to the Veterans Memorial outside the courthouse.

Veterans Services Coordinator Spring Jones told the board research into updating the existing memorial started about a year ago after it was discovered there was a lot of ware and tear on the existing set-up.

Jones says this project is still in the concept phase meaning the money side has not been fully established.

The existing pavers in the plaza right now will also be a part of the updates.

The current plan is to also keep the tower on the east side of the Dickinson County Courthouse in place.
