Dickinson County Treasurer’s Office Employee Facing Criminal Charges

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD) — An employee at the Dickinson County Treasurer’s office has been charged with nonfelonious misconduct in office, and performing a 3rd degree fraudulent practice pertaining to a sum of money between 500 and a thousand dollars.

According to online records from the Iowa Court system, the Iowa Department of Transportation filed the criminal complaints against Terri Foss on March 1st.

County Attorney Amy Zenor requested a special prosecutor to handle the case, and judge David Larson appointed Melanie Bauler.

Foss entered a written plea of “not guilty” this week and a trial has been set for May 11th.
