Des Moines, IA (KICD)– The Iowa Department of Public Health is reporting 509 new cases of COVID-19 as of 11 a.m. Wednesday along with eight new deaths, including the second fatality in Emmet County. The update brings the state to 46,490 total cases and 893 deaths.
Locally, the largest 24-hour change in cases numbers is in Dickinson County at three followed by two new cases each in Cherokee, Clay and Emmet Counties and one on Buena Vista, O’Brien and Pocahontas Counties. Osceola and Palo Alto Counties reported no change as of Wednesday morning.
Minnesota health officials reported 629 new cases with its Wednesday update for a new total of 57,779 and 1,629 total deaths. The new numbers include new cases in Nobles County and one in Jackson County.
