Estherville Police K9 Received new Vest Donation.

Estherville, IA (KICD)–Estherville Police Department canine has received a new vest from a charitable donation. The non-for-profit organization Vested Interest whose mission is to provide canine vests to law enforcement to protect them from bullet and stab wounds. Sergeant Matt Reineke of the Estherville Police Department spoke with KICD about receiving this donation.

Vested interest in canines has provided over 5000 vests to canines across the United States at a value of almost $7 million. Pepper the Canine has been serving with the Estherville Police Department for the last 18 months.
