Fostoria, IA (KICD)– The start of the holiday season is upon us and one local business is trying to bring the seasonal cheer back to the area with annual light display.

Heartland Pet Resort has been setting up its lights for four years, but Miranda Shannon tells us this year will be the biggest display yet.

The original plan was to have a big gathering on Saturday evening, but recent surges in COVID-19 and the new mitigation efforts put forth by the state have led to a change in plans.

Donations for People for Pets and the light display itself will also be accepted during the drive-in event on Saturday with the lights being turned on every night though the first week of January.

Shannon says those having old Christmas lights they no longer want can also bring them to Heartland Pet Resort and the team will find a way to incorporate them into next year’s display.
