IA, (KICD) — A man charged with 1st-degree murder has pled not guilty in the death of a Washington, Iowa man.

29-year-old Allan Schwidder of Emmetsburg entered the plea on Friday in Palo Alto County District Court. The charges stem from an investigation that discovered the body of 27-year-old Rollin Bontrager near Ruthven.

Court Documents say an autopsy found Bontrager had sustained multiple lacerations to the head consistent with being beat by a bolt cutter before his body was dumped in Virgin Lake.

A pre-trial conference for Schwidder is set for November 13th in Palo Alto County District Court.
