Everly, IA (KICD)– Residents of one Clay County town will not be seeing an increase in their gas bills during the next cycle despite a big increase in natural gas costs following last week’s extreme cold.
The Everly Municipal Utilities Board of Trustees and the City of Sanborn announced this week that it will absorb the additional costs in in order to keep rates the same for customers.
Other utility providers are warning clients to brace themselves for a larger bill next month which will based off of their increased usage for heat after the cold is said to led to the largest increase in natural gas prices in the last 20 years.
