St. Paul, Minnesota (KICD)– Minnesota school districts will be able to choose what the back to school plan looks like for the upcoming academic year.
Governor Tim Walz made the announcement Thursday afternoon during a press conference saying the decision of whether or not a district will return to in-person classes in the fall will at least partially be dependent on local health data.
Governor Walz went on to say parents will also get to decide what is best for their students as we look ahead.
Thursday’s announcement also noted that masks will continue to be required when Minnesota goes back to school on September 8th.
