Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)–Minor injuries were reported following a three vehicle accident.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff s Office says Keagan Barrett of Emmetsburg was stopped at the intersection of Highway 4 and 390th Street waiting to turn west. David Pettinger of Dakota City slowed and swerved to avoid a collision with vehicles behind him including a car driven by Alice Reisdorfer of Ida Grove. She was unable to stop in time rear-ended Barrett. Tiffany Ann Bonnesen of Emmetsburg was not able to slow down in time and rear-ended Reisdorfer’s car.
Minor injuries were reported to the occupants of the Reisdorfer vehicle.
Reisdorfer and Bonnesen were issued citations for failure to stop within an assured clear distance and failure to maintain control.
