National Weather Service Des Moines Launching Webinar Series

Des Moines, IA (KICD)– In-person classes may be out of session for the year, but the National Weather Service in Des Moines in holding true to school and community outreach by launching a new education web page and webinars.

Meteorologist Kurt Kotenberg is on the team putting this new program together. He tells KICD News the National Weather Service prides itself in being able to help its communities learn about forecasting and weather, even during unprecedented times.

Kotenburg says the webinar series will launch Wednesday morning with a tour of the forecast office in Des Moines.

The webinars, like all other programs provided by the National Weather Service, are free to take part in and are open to any students, teachers or members of the general public wanting to take part.

All of the information can be found on the NWS Des Moines education website.
