Palo Alto County, IA (KICD) — The unofficial election results are in for Palo Alto County.

In Ayshire, the City Council at Large Position had 16 total votes with Write-In votes totaling 9, Candidates Anesa McGregor had a total of 3 votes or 18.75% of the vote, and April Jo Green had four votes or 25% of the total vote.

In Cylinder, the race for Mayor, had Arnold Heng getting 15 votes, with the write-in votes totaling 15 as well.

KICD tried to contact the Auditors Office to the details of the Write-In votes but was unable to get ahold of them at this time.

In Emmetsburg, the race for Mayor has been won by Patrick Degen with 496 votes out of 882 or 56.24% of the vote. His opponent Kelly Higgins Bay took home 379 votes or 42.97%.

For the Emmetsburg City Council Ward 4 position. Todd Bell has won with 121 votes out of 200 or 60.50% of the vote. His opponent Corey Gramowski had 79 votes or 39.50% of the vote.

In Mallard, the race for City Council at Large had Troy Auten and Glen Simonson coming out on top. With 191 total votes, Auten took home 83 votes while Simonson took home 54. The third Candidate Jon Wirtz took home 50 votes. There were 4 write-in votes.

In the Mallard race to fill the vacant At-Large Position candidates, Lyle Larson and Todd Travis were tied with each receiving 50 votes or 47.62% of the total 105 votes. There were five write-in votes.

In Ruthven, the City Council at Large, the three candidates with the most votes out of 218 are Marcelle Simington with 69 votes or 31.65% Dustin Johnson with 60 votes or 27.52%, and Terrence J. Williams with 57 votes or 26.15%. A 4th candidate Jeffrey Thompson received 31 votes or 14.22% of the total votes. There was one write-in vote.

For the position of Emmetsburg School Director-At-Large, there were four spots available. The 4 with the most votes out of 3,455 votes are Bill Huberty with 799 votes or 23.13%, Scott Kibbie with 717 votes or 20.75% of the vote, Katy Thomsen with 610 votes or 17.66% and Val W. Morton with 527 votes or 15.25% of the vote. Candidate Ed Meyer took home 474 votes or 13.72% of the vote, and Dan Chism took home 319 votes or 9.23% of the vote.

Emmetsburg School Public Measure EB had a total of 923 votes, with 562 being yes or 60.89% and 361 no votes or 39.11%.

The Graettinger-Terril School Public Measure GT had a total of 210 total votes with 149 votes or 70.95% of the vote saying yes and 61 votes or 29.05% of the vote being for no.

The Pocahontas Area School Public Measure PACA had one total vote. That vote went towards No.

The Pocahontas Area School Public Measure PACB also had one total vote, which went towards No.
