Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)– There is a new but also familiar face taking the leadership role of the Palo Alto County Attorney’s Office after the Board of Supervisors made an appointment Tuesday afternoon.

Anne Quail has been practicing law in the private sector out of her office in Spencer since 2019, but prior to that she was actually working in a completely different industry.

Quail tells KICD News her experience both in and out of the courtroom has prepared her to the point that she felt she was ready to take on a part-time position as the top lawyer in Palo Alto County.

Quail replaces now former County Attorney Peter Hart who recently retired after serving Palo Alto County for nearly four decades.
