Spencer, IA (KICD)– A semi driver was hurt after his truck overturned Sunday morning north of Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Spencer Police Department, Spencer Hospital Ambulance and firefighters from Spencer and Fostoria all were called to the 3000 mile of Highway 71, about two miles north of the junction with Highway 18 around 5 a.m. where a truck and trailer were found on their sides in the median.
An investigation determined the driver, Ronald Peters of Rembrandt, had reached for something in the passenger seat which led to the truck leaving the roadway before it overturned.
Peters required assistance in getting out of the vehicle before he was then taken to Spencer Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
