Spencer, IA (KICD) — Spencer will be celebrating the Fourth of July with events starting at 1 P.M on the holiday.
KICD news spoke with Bob Rose, and he says they try to have events centered around food, family, music, and fireworks.
He says the flag ceremony with the American Legion and V.F.W will be taking place at 7:45 P.M.
Rose says the events will be taking place at the East Leach Park Band Shelter. There will be free swimming at the Aquatic Center from 1 to 5 P.M. and a Grill out by Hy-Vee at 6 P.M. The Municipal Band Patriotic Concert is scheduled to begin at 7 P.M. and the night will finish off with Fireworks at the Clay County Fairgrounds at 10 P.M.
