Spencer, IA (KICD) — A construction update for the City of Spencer has been released for the week of 10-5-19.
Spencer Public Works Director Mark White says the 2019 PCC Paving Project No. 1 had BD Construction finishing the sewer service work this week. They also connected the water services to the new water main. On Monday, they plan to connect the new water main to the existing water main on the east end of the project and start storm sewer work.
The 2019 West 4th Street Sewer Replacement had officials meeting with Travis Hulstein onsite this week. They plan to mobilize equipment and start dewatering next week around the lift station. Manholes and pipes were delivered to the site this week.
The 2019 Landfill Storage Building Project had some rafter work done while the weather allowed by Quail Construction.
The 2019 Landfill Cell D2 Expansion project had Rognes Bros excavating dirt from the new cell this week until the site conditions deteriorated due to the rain. They will continue moving dirt next week when the conditions allow.
The 2019 Landfill PCC Driveway Pavement Project had Randy Helmers Construction working on setting up half of the driveway to pave this week. They plan to pour concrete on 1/2 of the driveway on Tuesday.
