Spencer Girls and Boys Split Tough Road Trip with Fort Dodge


Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Girls and Boys Basketball teams hit the road Monday night for a non-conference game against Fort Dodge.

Fort Dodge was led in scoring by both Meah McCaleb and LJ Maehl who each had 15 points. Sydnee Hopkins led the Tigers with 11. Spencer falls to 0-7 on the year while Fort Dodge improves to 5-3.

It was Jack Berends leading the way with 19 points while Cade WEsterhoff scored 18 for the Dodgers. Spencer has won 3 in a row and improve to 3-2 on the season while Fort Dodge drops to 0-8.

Up next for Fort dodge will be Sioux City West on January 2nd while Spencer goes back home on Tuesday to play Mason City.
