Spirit Lake Police Investigating Death of Elderly Woman

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Spirit Lake Police Department is investigating after a body was found near a local assisted living facility last week.

Officers were initially called to the Keelson Harbour on Aurora Avenue on Thursday after the body of an elderly female was reportedly discovered outside.

Investigators believe the woman, who has not been identified, managed to find her way outside where she died. No further information is being released at this time as the investigation continues.
