Storm Lake Man Arrested On Harassment Charges

Storm Lake, IA (KICD) — Police arrested a Storm Lake man on harassment charges Monday, June 10th.

The Storm Lake Police Department says at 1:04 P.M. they were dispatched to 503D West 8th Street for a report of an attempted sexual assault.

Upon arrival, police met with an adult woman who alleged that she was approached by a male identified as 37-year-old Hipolito Vera. The reporting party told police that Vera made several sexual related comments towards the victim and asked her inappropriate and disturbing questions.

Police located Vera at 604E West 8th Street and took him into custody. Following an investigation, police charged Vera with harassment 3rd degree.

Police booked Vera into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $300 bond.

No injuries were reported.
