Storm Lake Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Methamphetamine

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– A Remsen woman is facing drug charges after being stopped by police in Storm Lake over the weekend.

The stop was conducted around eleven o’clock Sunday evening in the 100 block of Highway Street for a minor violation when a Storm Lake K-9 unit indicated the possible presence of illegal substances inside.

A subsequent search led to 52-year-old Shannon Vandom being charged with a Class B felony controlled substance violation related to the discovery of several grams of methamphetamine reportedly packaged for sale along with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Vandom was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
