Tiger Boys Comes Back to Beat Sioux Center on Last Second Shot… Girls Drop to Warriors


Spencer, Ia (KICD) – The Spencer Girls and Boys Basketball teams took on Sioux Center Thursday night in the Fieldhouse.

The Tiger girls started off the night, facing a big challenge in the Warriors.

The Tiger Girls fell to Sioux Center 67-33. Makailyn Vander Waal led the Warriors with 20 points on the evening while Spencer was led by Ali Greattinger’s 9. Spencer falls to 0-5 on the year while Sioux Center improves to 3-1.

The Spencer Tiger Boys would take the court in search of their first win of the young season.

Cael Bruning led the way for Spencer with 16 points. Sioux Center was led in scoring by Briggs Friedman, also with 16. Spencer is now 1-2 on the year while Sioux Center falls to 1-3.

The Spencer Tigers will be baack in action Friday night to open up Lakes Conference play against Cherokee.
