Storm Lake, IA (KICD)– Two people are in police custody on drug related charges after police were called to a Storm Lake resort over the weekend.
Officers were notified by the Fort Dodge Police Department Sunday evening that 35-year-old Blaine Stockwell may have been staying at Kings Pointe Resort . He was wanted in Webster County for parole violation.
Police were able to confirm Stockwell was a guest at the resort, but was not in his room when officers arrived. Surveillance of the area was set up until Stockwell and a female companion, 31-year-old Heidi Holston of Marathon, were taken into custody nearly three hours later.
A search was conducted at the scene which is said to uncovered marijuana packaged for sales, drug paraphernalia, ledgers indicating drug sales and several thousand dollars in cash.
Following an investigation, Stockwell was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on the outstanding warrant and further charged with multiple counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, failure to affix and drug tax stamp and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $35,300 bond.
Holston was charged with multiple counts of conspiracy with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia before being booked into the jail on $30,300 bond.
