Estherville, IA (KICD) — Multiple people are facing charges following a welfare check report in Estherville Wednesday morning.
Estherville Police Chief Brent Shatto says a caller told police that a female suspect had forcefully removed her girlfriend from a house. While responding to the scene, officers noticed a strong smell of marijuana from within the residence.
Police acquired a search warrant and, upon a search, located numerous items of drugs and drug paraphernalia. As a result of an investigation, police charged four people,
46-year-old Carrie Holmes of Estherville with gathering where controlled substances are used and possession of marijuana.
19-year-old Jodeci Holmes was charged with gathering where controlled substances are used, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana while in possession of a firearm, possession with intent to deliver marijuana vape cartridges with intent to deliver, 2 counts of drug tax stamp violations, unlawful possession of prescription medication, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of contraband in a correctional institution. Jodeci was further charged by the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office with interference with official acts and obstructing prosecution during the execution of her arrest.
18-year-old Andrea McLoughlin of Estherville was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
22-year-old Dillion Peer of Prior Lake, Minnesota was charged with possession of marijuana.
