Sioux Center, IA (Radio Iowa)– Two Northwest Iowa communities celebrating now that they are receiving high quality water from the long awaited Lewis and Clark Water System.

Sioux Center and Hull have been waiting more than 30 years to get hooked into the system and celebrated with ribbon cutting ceremonies on Tuesday where Lewis and Clark Executive Director Troy Larson talked about the long process of making the connections happen.

Getting Sioux Center and Hull online make bring the total number of connections to twenty communities despite 59 having signed up for the project three decades ago.

There are still two local connections being worked on with Sheldon expected to start receiving Lewis and Clark Water sometime late this year and Sibley by early 2025.
