Two Vehicle Accident in Rock Rapids

Rock Rapids, IA (KICD) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, the Rock Rapids Fire Department and the Lyon County Ambulance responded to a two vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 9 and Garfield.

56-Year old Vickie Fowler of Rock Rapids was traveling westbound when she lost control of her vehicle, causing the vehicle to strike the rear axle of a semi-truck and trailer driven by 48-year-old William Senkle of Sioux Falls.

Fowler was transported to Sanford Rock Rapids with non-life threatening injuries. Fowler’s Pontiac Grand Am is estimated to be a total loss. Senkle’s truck, owned by Bennett Trucking Inc. of Windom, is estimated to have $10,000 in damage.
