O”Brien County, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Sioux City man faces charges after a two-motorcycle collision in O’Brien County Saturday afternoon.

Just before 4:00 PM 21-year-old Logan Ebner was southbound on Warbler Avenue when he attempted a U-turn at the 500th Street intersection. Ebner told deputies he thought the riders behind him were far enough away, but he pulled directly into the path of 20-year-old Ethan Zoch of Quimby.

Investigating officers found nearly 130 feet of skid marks showing Zoch tried to brake before slamming broadside into Ebner’s Kawasaki. Both bikes were totaled in the wreck.

Fortunately, both men escaped with only minor injuries and stayed at the scene. Ebner was cited for failing to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
