Everly, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — The Clay County Sheriff’s Department was called to a disturbance in Everly early Friday morning (August 14) . They were dispatched to 107 East 2nd Street around 1:30am.

34-year-old Marcus Lee of Everly was taken into custody and charged with Control of a firearm, reckless use of a firearm causing property damage, Domestic abuse assault while displaying a weapon, 3rd offense possession of a controlled substance, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities say they have obtained a search warrant for the residence and further charges are pending.
