Arnolds Park, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A piece of history will find a new home at Emerald Hills Golf Course this summer. Drew Hage with the Spirit of Okoboji says Butch and Debbie Parks saved the 1908 bridge that used to connect Okoboji and Arnolds Park from the scrap heap, had intended to renovate it for Parks Marina, but donated it to the golf course project.

Hage tells KICD News Emerald Hills is being redesigned to accommodate more homes, upgraded fairways, and more water hazards that will also act to clean the water headed for Lake Minnewashta. The bridge will straddle one of the new water hazards.

All 18 holes at Emerald Hills remain open during the expansion project.
