Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Johnson Elementary School in Spencer is opening its doors tonight from 6 to 7 pm for parents and their little ones to explore the halls and get a head start on the upcoming school year. Principal Brooke Schueller.
Who should be there tonight?
Schueller says some adjustments recently made might interest parents.
Spencer YMCA will be on hand tonight with special one-night youth membership specials, and Schueller is hoping collaborating with the Y gives more options for families when childcare is needed, whether it’s a no-school day, or after or before-school childcare.
Students do not have to register tonight, but Schueller says the process can begin, and once completed each student receives a t-shirt.
The Open House at Johnson Elementary School is from 6-7pm tonight. Contact the school if you have questions.
