Okoboji, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — There was a kitchen fire at the Okoboji McDonalds Monday afternoon. Arnolds Park – Okoboji Fire chief Chris Yungbluth says his department was dispatched around 4 o’clock. Customers had already been evacuated. The restaurant’s fire suppression system and employees with extinguishers kept the fire from spreading, and the fire department put out the fire that was still burning in a fryer.
The crew remained on the scene for about an hour, and the establishment was already back in business around suppertime.
