Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — The Seed Survivor Mobile Classroom rolled into Spencer this morning, setting up near the playground at Lincoln Elementary School, bringing an immersive 36-foot agriculture lab to students.

Thanks to the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation, Spencer students engage with interactive stations, explore plant science through virtual reality games and hands-on seed planting.

The mobile unit is dedicated to showing students how agriculture connects to their daily lives and future careers, providing a high-tech spark for science curriculum right in the school parking lot.

The educational tour will remain in Spencer for the rest of the week, moving to Sacred Heart Catholic School on Thursday and concluding its local visit at Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School on Friday.

The Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation (IALF) is a K-12 resource hub that uses agriculture to teach core subjects like science and math. Backed by major industry stakeholders, they partner with schools across all 99 counties to help students understand where their food comes from and the global importance of farming.
