NorthwestIowaNow.com (NorthwestIowaNow.com) —  It is a busy Tuesday ahead for county supervisors across the region, with primary election results and infrastructure upgrades topping local agendas.

Official certification of last week’s primary election is the uniform priority. Supervisors in Osceola, Emmet, Palo Alto, Buena Vista, and Cherokee counties will all officially canvass the June 2nd votes to finalize candidate nominations for the fall ballot.

Infrastructure and local development are also driving tomorrow’s sessions:

In Osceola County: Supervisors will hold a public hearing on an ordinance to add official zoning regulations for data centers—covering facilities used for cloud storage, cryptocurrency mining, and artificial intelligence. The board will also review HVAC and kitchen equipment proposals for the ongoing jail remodel project.

In O’Brien County: A public hearing is set for a general relief ordinance amendment. Supervisors will also review a major utility application from Windstream Kinetic for fiber construction along Highway 18.

In Palo Alto and Emmet Counties: Road and bridge updates are on tap. Palo Alto supervisors will review utility permits and a drainage change order with Kossuth County, while Emmet County reviews rock chute expenses and holds a fuel letting.

In Cherokee County: Bids will be opened for a local secondary roads project, alongside updates on emergency septic remediation.
