Sheldon PPEL Easily Renewed

Sheldon, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Renewell of the Physical Plant and Equipment levy passed easily Tuesday in the Sheldon school district. It needed a simple majority, but 73 and a half percent of the voting public voted yes.

In the county-by-county breakdown 259 voters, or 79 percent voted yes in O’Brien and Lyon Counties; 78 percent of the 23 voters in Sioux County said yes. Of the 62 voters on the Osceola County side of the line, only 26 or 42 percent voted to continue the levy for another decade.
