Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — Spencer is gearing up for a major celebration as parade entries are now officially open for the 41st Annual Flagfest Parade. This year’s event, scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, is expected to be the biggest yet. As the nation prepares to celebrate America’s 250th birthday, local festivities are expanding to include a rodeo alongside traditional favorites like the street dance and Grand Cruise.

While the full weekend is packed with new additions, the parade remains a crown jewel of the festival, typically drawing around 4,000 spectators to Grand Avenue.

Organizations and businesses who want to sign up: note it is free for Spencer Chamber investors, $25 for non-investors if registered before May 1.  Any registrations after May 1 is $50.

Interested groups can sign up at on their website or by calling 712-262-5680.
