Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — Today is the special election to fill the Ward 5 Council seat in Spencer. Voting runs 7am to 8pm at the Clay County Administration Building.

Julie Beehler is the lone candidate on the ballot. The individual who was elected to the seat in last fall’s election resigned to keep his part-time job with the city. The term runs until December 31st of 2029.
