Spencer Man Arrested After High-Speed Chase, Faces Terror Threat Charges

Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A Spencer man was arrested around midnight Saturday after leading Milford police on a chase. A vehicle driving erratically on Highway 71 was reported around 11:45. It was discovered in a Milford parking lot. The officer on duty says the driver 46-year-old Jeffrey Clark – got back in the vehicle and led him on a pursuit exceeding 65 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.

After stopping, Clark was reportedly verbally abusive and refused to get out of his car. He was forecfully taken into custody with the assistance of officers from Spirit Lake and the Iowa DNR. He allegedly made threat against several officers and then employees at the Dickinson County jail and their families.

He has been charged with threats of terrorism, multiple traffic violations, and 1st offense O.W.I.
