Spencer, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) The Spencer Police Department announces there is a snow event declared for Spencer. Officials say they are requesting that residents do not park on city streets between the hours of midnight and 7am so the street department can remove snow from our roadways.  City crews will be plowing ALL city streets again tonight (11/29/25). We are asking for the public’s assistance in having all parked cars removed from the streets by midnight.

Prohibited parking during snow events is to exist when the national weather service predicts a snow accumulation of two (2) inches or more in the city, or if new snow accumulation has reached two (2) inches as measured at KICD radio station. The snow event shall continue so long as snow accumulation continues and for an additional 48 hours after snowfall has ended.
