Spencer, IA (Northwest Iowa Now) — Spencer officials provided a flood update all across our Northwest Iowa Now. com audio platforms Thursday morning.

Deputy City Manager Kevin Robinson says many homeowners are just now starting to make decisions about whether to repair, demolish, or sell their property.

Robinson says he’s getting inquiries about two FEMA programs. One is for demolition assistance.

The other FEMA program is for long-term flood mitigation.

It’s possible that homeowners could be eligible for both FEMA programs. Robinson says if you are having trouble getting answers, you may contact him direct at city hall.
