Spencer, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — After less than a month, the effort to raise 500 thousand dollars for a Spencer splashpad is over a quarter of the way there. Park and Rec Director Bob Fullhart updated the city council Monday.

Engineering for the splashpad – to be located next to the Aquatic Center – has already been completed, and the city has the remaining 750 thousand dollars earmarked if private donors are willing to come up with the other half a million.
