Storm Lake Man Charged with Felony After Domestic Disturbance

Storm Lake, Iowa (NorthwestIowaNow.com) — A Storm Lake man is facing a felony charge following a domestic disturbance reported late Thursday night.

Police were called to a home in the 300 block of East 7th Street around 10:15 p.m.

Witnesses told officers that 25-year-old Javier Cisneros was intoxicated and fighting with a victim at the scene. Police allege Cisneros knocked the victim down, grabbed them by the neck, and threatened to kill them before fleeing the house.

Officers located Cisneros a short time later in the 700 block of Cayuga Street and took him into custody.

Cisneros has been charged with Domestic Abuse Assault involving Strangulation, First Degree Harassment, and Public Intoxication. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
