Sioux City, IA (Northwestiowanow.com) — A 52-year-old Storm Lake man has pled guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography in federal court.
Brian Oakleaf was arrested following a search of his home and office at his place of work by investigators. Assistant US Attorney Kraig Hamit says law enforcement traced an online IP address that was sharing explicit material to Oakleaf. The address was used to receive and distribute the illegal photos and videos between March, 2022, and July 29 of 2024.

Oakleaf – who had also used the alias Dan Dyle – entered the written plea September 9th, admitting the possession of 20 thousand images, and a 90-minute video.
He is in the custody of the US Marshal’s office pending sentencing. He faces up to 40 years in prison and a half million dollar fine.
