St. Mary’s Aims to Raise $1.5 Million Ahead of Annual Ball and Charity Auction
STORM LAKE, IA (Northwestiowanow) – Storm Lake St. Mary’s is preparing for its 2026 annual Ball and Charity Auction, helping to raise funding for the school.
The event will be held on Saturday, March 14th at Buena Vista University.
Kelli Berg, a volunteer helping lead development and fundraising efforts, says the event is one of the largest fundraisers for the school
This year’s reverse auction will be aimed at raising money for major renovations to the gym’s entrance and first floor of the high school. Berg explains why the renovations are necessary
So far, Berg says the school has raised just about a half-million dollars toward its $1.5 million goal ahead of the March 1 pledge deadline. If pledges continue coming in, the school hopes to begin construction soon.
Event doors will open at 5:45 PM at The Forum inside Buena Vista University.

Anyone interested in attending the Ball and Charity Auction or donating toward the renovation project can visit www.stormlakecatholic.com or call the Parish Center at 712-732-3110.
