Council Bluffs, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Spencer traveled to Council Bluffs on Saturday for the Melissa Fender Memorial Invite hosted by Lewis Central of Council Bluffs.

In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Spencer’s team of Gretchen Haak, Anna Quanbeck, Aubrey McFarland, and Ava Vogt swam 2:06.83 to finish 3rd.

For the 200y Freestyle, Spencer’s Lauren Stuckey took 5th with a time of 2:19.23.

Halle Sears was 2nd in the 200y Individual Medley with a time of 2:13.08.

Maisy Schmidt had an impressive performance in the 50y Freestyle with a time of 27.65 to take 2nd for the Tigers.

Sears picked up Spencer’s only win on the day in the 100y Butterfly with a time of 59.31.

Ava Vogt came back in the 100y Freestyle with a time of 1:00.71 to finish 3rd.

In the 200y Freestyle Relay, Spencer’s team of Schmidt, Vogt, McFarland, and Sears clocked 1:47.27 to take 2nd.

McFarland was 3rd in the 100y Backstroke with a time of 1:05.71 for Spencer.

The Invite wrapped up with Spencer’s team of Schmidt, Vogt, McFarland, and Sears going 4:02.24 to finish 3rd in the 400y Freestyle Relay.

Sioux City Metro won the team title with 362 points, Lewis Central of Council Bluffs was 2nd at 324, and Spencer took 3rd with 288 points.  Carroll was 4th and Atlantic took 5th.
