Titan Girls Advance to Regional Semifinal

Graettinger, Ia (Northwest Iowa Now) – Class 1A and 2A Girls Basketball continued their regional tournaments Tuesday night. Big Country 107.7 brought you coverage of the Class 1A Region 7 Quarterfinals in Graettinger as GTRA played host to Harris-Lake Park.

The Titans put together a strong 1st quarter, outscoring HLP 17-6. That lead grew to 17 at the half with GTRA totaling 16 to the Wolves’ 10 in the 2nd.

Harris-Lake Park would begin to chip away in the 3rd, outscoring the Titans 12-7, but still trailed by 12 going into the 4th quarter. GTRA would stifle the HLP offense in the final 8 minutes, holding the Wolves to only 5 4th quarter points as the Region’s #2 seed advanced with a 52-33 win.

The Titans were led in scoring by Kamryn Hough’s 13. Addison Hansen added 12 with Caitlyn Hough posting 11. GTRA advances to the Class 1A Region 7 Semifinals where they will play host to Kingsley-Pierson. They winner moves on to the Regional Championship game to play either #1 seed Exira-Elk Horn-Kimbalton or the #4 seed CAM.

Harris-Lake Park wraps up the 2025-2026 season with a 16-8 overall record. The Wolves went 7-3 in the War Eagle, tying for 3rd with MMCRU. Leading HLP in scoring was Corra Niemeier with 11.
