Track and Field Results: 3/28/26

Brookings, SD (Northwest Iowa Now) – North Union, Okoboji, Spencer, Sibley-Ocheyedan, and Spirit Lake competed at the Ruth Marske High School Track and Field Invite at the Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings South Dakota on Saturday.

Spencer’s Laruen Stucky tied for 1st in the Girls High Jump with a height of 5 feet 6 inches.

In the Boys Shot Put, Jackson Knutson of Spirit Lake would win with a throw of 49 feet 3 inches.

For the Boys High Jump, Spencer’s Tate VonEhwagen would mark 6 feet 2 inches to take 5th.

The Girls 100m Hurdles was won by Leah Bolluyt of Spirit Lake with a time of 14.78 seconds.

Spirit Lake’s team of Mueting, Sinz, Trautman, and Pruin took 4th in the Girls 4x800m Relay with a time of 10:10.12.

In the Boys 1600m Run, Spirit Lake’s Jace Hungerford clocked 4:18.86 seconds to finish 3rd.

For the Girls 4x100m Relay, Spirit Lake’s team of Bolluyt, Leupold, Bruinsma, and Sinz went 49.87 seconds to finish 2nd.

The Spirit Lake Boys 4x100m Relay team of Higgins, Barthman, Grau, and Bolluyt was 2nd with a time of 43.8 seconds.

Spencer’s Tate VonEhwagen was 5th in the 400m Dash with a time of 50.18 seconds.

In the Girls 300m Hurdles, Lucy Simington of Spencer ran 48.52 seconds to finish 4th.

Okoboji’s Jerron Heller was 5th in the Boys 300m Hurdles with a time of 40.31 seconds.

For the Girls 4x200m Relay, Spirit Lake’s team of Bolluyt, Leupold, Wells, and Sinz was 2nd with a time of 1:45.59 seconds. Spencer’s team of Hopkins, Krieg, Robbins, and Reynolds was 5th with 1:50.48 seconds.

In the Boys 4x200m Relay, spirit Lake’s team of Higgins, Hegedorn, Grau, and Bolluty was 5th with a time of 1:32.61.

For the Girls 4x400m Relay, Spirit Lake’s team of Bruinsma, Sinz, Trautman, and Mueting was 4th with a time of 4:12.16.

Sibley-Ocheyedan’s Boys 4x400m Relay team of Marco, Vos, Byers, and Kreykes was 5th with a time of 4:28.51.

In the Girls team standings, Northwest of Waukee, Iowa won with 160 points, Lincoln of Sioux Falls, South Dakota was 2nd with 72.5 points, and Brandon Valley of South Dakota was 3rd with 60.5 points.

Spirit Lake took 4th, Spencer 10th, Okoboji tied for 19th with both Central Lyon and Sibley-Ocheyedan.

For the Boys team standings, Lincoln of Sioux Falls, South Dakota won with 132.5 points, Northwest of Waukee, Iowa was 2nd with 109, and MOC-Floyd Valley of Iowa took 3rd with 42.5 points.

Spirit Lake was 7th, Okoboji tied for 10th with TF Riggs of Pierre, South Dakota, Sibley-Ocheyedan tied for 16th with Bishop Heelan Catholic of Sioux City, Iowa, and Roosevelt of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Spencer tied for 19th with Mitchell of South Dakota.
